From 21 to 25 September 2026, the XXIX Biotechnology Summer School brought together over 60 participants and 14 speakers from renowned institutions in Poland and abroad for a week of learning and scientific exchange focused on Cell and Gene Therapy.

Organized by the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology of the University of Gdańsk and the Medical University of Gdańsk, this year’s edition took place as part of Talent-CGT project. The scientific programme provided opportunities to explore current research, discuss new ideas, and exchange perspectives with experts and fellow participants.

Beyond the lectures and scientific discussions, the School offered time to connect in a more informal setting. Shared activities and the “Cellular Met Gala” themed evening brought plenty of creativity, smiles, and memorable moments, helping build connections across research interests and career stages.

We warmly thank our speakers for sharing their expertise and enthusiasm, our participants for their curiosity and active involvement, and the organizing team for their dedication. It is the people who make the Biotechnology Summer School such a special experience.

We also extend our sincere thanks to our sponsors for their support in making this year’s edition possible.

We hope that the knowledge, ideas, and connections developed during BSS will inspire further conversations and collaborations long after the School has ended.

Thank you for being part of the XXIX Biotechnology Summer School – we look forward to seeing you at future editions!
